How it works
What we pull from the award files.
We started in California. Fifteen states plus Sourcewell, NASPO, and federal awards are in the index now. Federal awards don't publish a bid tab. We don't guess a missing price, and we don't rank vendors.
One box, your words
Type what you sell and where. The same question works on the site or in Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
Coverage first, then rows
The answer starts by scanning which sources hold that commodity and state, and says what it could not find before it shows what it did.
Cited rows, dated, with gaps counted
Typical and upper prices, the bid roster, the expiration date. Every row carries a record id, a source, and a month.
What we add to the public record.
The portals publish rows. These are the parts we make usable, each read from the file rather than inferred.
Unit of measure where the line published one
In the filePer box, per case, per each, as the line published it. Prices are never averaged across units. A price with no unit stays without one.
Set-aside flags read from the award
In the fileSmall business, SWaM, veteran, micro. Taken from the award file, never guessed from the vendor's name.
Every bidder on a published tab
In the fileWhere the portal published a tab, unpriced bidders stay in the roster. A purchase file with no tab does not get one.
Expiration dates and listing status
In the fileContract expiration dates and whether a vehicle is still listed, read from the file where the portal publishes them.
A vendor's published record
In the fileA vendor's bids and named wins across portals in one answer. Not a win rate: unpublished tabs are not counted.
Co-op vehicles beside state awards
In the fileSourcewell rosters and NASPO ValuePoint price lists sit in the same file as the state award lines.
The buyer's fiscal year
In the fileAgency spend grouped by the agency's fiscal year, not the calendar, so "this year" means what the buyer means.

Rules of the answer.
- Every answer names its source and the month it was published.
- If a purchase has no price on file, we say so and count it.
- If we didn't find a price, the price field stays empty. No estimates, no scoring, no win probability.
- "Winner" means the award document said so.
- Home samples replace vendor names. Live answers need a 2-hour pass.
- Ranking is your call. We report facts.
